WAX Blockchain exploded in popularity recently as the go-to blockchain for Web3 gamers. Originally launched in 2017 by William Quigley and Jonathan Yantis,  its primary focus was to create a market for trading virtual items from video games.

Indeed, the chain’s growth has been impressive with WAX Cloud Wallet surpassing 6 million users. This was due in part to the listing of $WAXP (WAX Native Token) on several top exchanges, including Binance, Gate.io, and AOFEX, which has made the token more accessible for users to purchase NFTs on WAX Blockchain marketplaces.

Here’s a 3 month price chart of the token:

WAX recently reported over 550,000 active users which is an all-time high. Additionally, WAX has been averaging over 17 million daily transactions, with more than 100 million total transactions expected soon.

WAX has proven itself with the ability to conduct up to 8,000 transactions per second while consuming over 100,000 times less energy per transaction than Ethereum. WAX is also said to be the world’s first certified carbon-neutral blockchain.

Additionally, WAX Blockchain’s bridge integration with the Ethereum blockchain allows for cross-chain interoperability, expanding its potential use cases. In this article, we are going to cover the top 5 games by NFT volume per DappRadar.
