Play-and-Earn game Snake City successfully migrated to gaming-focused subnet Swimmer Network on September 27, 2022. The project’s marketplace, Non-Fungible Token (NFT) assets, and game modes were transferred to the new network.

The migration went live on September 27, at 3am UTC. Swimmer FreeZone is launching on September 29 at 3am UTC. In addition to that, Snake City will reopen all gameplay features (Training mode, Breeding, Marketplace, Boost mana, etc.) on Swimmer Network, on the 1st of October.

Bridging Assets

Players are required to add Swimmer Network to their wallets before bridging their assets. Here are the details and the necessary links for the procedure.

Network Name: Swimmer Network

ChainID: 73772

Symbol: TUS

Bridging Snakes and Egg NFTs

Through their inventory, players can bridge 10 Snake and Egg NFTs in a single transaction. However, the system only supports “one way” bridging. This means that assets migrated to Swimmer Network cannot be transferred back to Avalanche C-Chain. As a reminder, owners must cancel their NFT listings on the Marketplace before bridging their snakes and eggs.

Bridging Tokens (SNCT/TOC)

Click here to access the bridge and migrate ERC-20 tokens (SNCT/TOC) to Swimmer Network.

Players can bridge tokens from Avalanche C-Chain to Swimmer Network and vice-versa. When playing the game on Swimmer Network, users will receive $TOC. If players want to convert tokens to $USDT, they are required to bridge $TOC (Swimmer) to $TOC (C-chain).

To avoid losing their accumulated $TOC rewards, participants must claim them first before migrating their Snake NFTs to Swimmer Network.

About Swimmer Network

Swimmer Network is an Avalanche-based subnet dedicated to Web3 gaming

Subnets are efficient scaling solutions that games with growing communities can easily integrate into their system. Basically, the creation of these segmented pieces of networks helped sparked more game building and launching activities on the Avalanche ecosystem in 2022 (click here to read about five popular games on the protocol).

The subnet gained attention in June after popular Play-to-Earn game Crabada completed its migration to Swimmer Network.

About Snake City

Snake City is a Play-and-Earn game built on the Avalanche blockchain. The project draws inspiration from classic 1976 arcade game Snake and its popular successors, as well as Nokia’s mobile game of the same name.

In Snake City, players can obtain Snake Hero NFTs and use them to compete in multiplayer games. The gameplay requires players to control a moving snake that increases its length everytime it receives nourishment. The difficulty level increases as the snake becomes longer, making deadly traps harder to avoid.

NFT Snake

Snake City utilizes two tokens:

  • $SNCT: $SNCT is Snake City’s native governance token that players can use for purchasing eggs and NFTs, among others. Moreover, participants can earn $SNCT through staking, trading, or as in-game rewards. As of this writing, $SNCT is trading at $0.006107, with a fully diluted market cap of $6,106,957 and a 24-hour volume of $553 (per CoinMarketCap).

  • $TOC: $TOC is an-game currency that players can spend on features such as breeding and skin. These tokens are not available on any centralized or decentralized exchanges.
