Creators of popular token Shiba Inu, announced a partnership with game developer PlaySide Studios to develop and release an NFT trading card game called “Shiba Eternity.” The news sent the $SHIB token soaring more than 25%.

The beta test is already live for Vietnamese players and Shiba Inu’s main developer, Shytoshi Kusama, recently teased plans to test the Indonesian market next. Vietnam and Indonesia were given testing priority due to the success of Play-to-Earn games such as Axie Infinity in the Southeast Asian region.

Additionally, a beta version of Layer 2 (L2) solution Shibarium is also slated for launch in Q3 of 2022, along with stablecoins, bonus tokens, and more card games on the platform.

Check out the video below to watch the brief gameplay preview:

What is Shiba Inu?

Shiba Inu ($SHIB) is an Ethereum-based cryptocurrency inspired by the Japanese dog breed of the same name. The token, which has a total supply of one quadrillion, is known to traders as a rival to Dogecoin ($DOGE), another well-known Shiba Inu-themed coin.

During its early days, $SHIBA was regarded by its detractors as a “meme coin,” which refers to trending cryptocurrencies that were made as a joke, but possesses very high market capitulation. Currently, Shiba Inu has evolved into a multi-token ecosystem, supporting projects such as crypto exchange Shibaswap and Shiba Inu Incubator, a project where ShibArmy creatives can share their artworks.
