AMGI Studios, the team behind MPH, also released a montage video to hype things up for the company’s much-awaited offering. The 1-minute gameplay footage provided a glimpse of what to expect from the upcoming blockchain game.
Alpha v1.1 was initially scheduled for August 12, but the team decided to move the launch date to the 19th, to focus on improvements such as bug fixes, and additional weapons and external maps, among others.
The first half of the month also saw the introduction of interior build-outs, a streamer character toggle, more community art and destructibles, as well as a Hall Pass functionality.
According to recent updates announced on the game’s Discord server, the team is already working on version 2.0 with plans to further improve character playability, as well as introduce new features including additional game modes, player profiles, voice chat, and Epic Online Services.
The team also laid out some immediate plans for the month of August including releasing Alpha v1.1 to all genesis holders, and then on-boarding communities into the Rabbit Hole via the newly-introduced Hall Pass system.
All genesis Hooligans are expected to go live in late August, via the immi app, a real-time animation platform that allows users to easily create full-body 3D cinema-quality characters.
The Rabbit Hole Game
The Rabbit Hole Alpha v1.1 is an early access version of the web3 game/social experience. With the help of the community, AMGI will utilize the release to consolidate all facets of the game and pave the way for version 2.
In Alpha v1.1, holders are allowed to play as their NFTs, and are also given access to key items such as limited abilities, health, weapons, etc., as well as basic maps and face control, among others. The early version will however not include an earning component, as the P2E system will only be deployed in future iterations of the game.
My Pet Hooligan NFT and Platform
My Pet Hooligan is a brand and ecosystem that started with a genesis NFT collection of 8,888 Pet Hooligans. The project consisted of fully rigged 3D characters “posed to defend Web3 from the corporate overlord, Metazuckbot.”
After evolving into a full ecosystem, My Pet Hooligan began providing access to a suite of animation products using technology that AMGI pioneered within Unreal Engine 5.0.
$Karrot is an ERC-20 token that will power the My Pet Hooligan ecosystem, as well as Play-to-Earn game The Rabbit Hole. Genesis NFT owners and players can earn $Karrots through claims, community events, playing games, and staking.
The token has a fixed total supply of 1,000,000,000 and can be used for the following:
- Alpha pass
- Community merch
- Cosmetic upgrades
- In-game purchases
- $Karrot Juice
- Minting of future drops
- PvP Challenges
Based in California, USA, AMGI Studios is primarily an animation studio that has worked with big name brands such as Disney, Pixar, and Industrial Light and Magic. The company is also the owner of a proprietary animation technology for facial and whole-body motion capture, that is included in Epic Game’s 3D computer graphics game suite Unreal Engine.
AMGI’s Creative and Technology team is led by Colin Brady, a prolific animator and film director who has worked with the likes of Steven Spielberg and George Lucas, as well as films such as Toy Story 1 and 2, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, to name a few.
