Web3-based space strategy game Imperium Empires announced on September 28, 2022, that it has opened its PvP Alpha to the public. As part of the tournament, the team is giving away 7,000,000 $IME worth of prizes.
Players can simply download the game by clicking here, no wallets required. They can either play in guest mode or participate in tournaments to get a shot at the prize pool.
About PvP Alpha
PvP is Imperium Empires’ much-awaited main game, which is supplemented with the mining-focused Apollo. The Alpha PvP aims to gather feedback from the community, as well as introduce new features such as multiplayer combat and skill system.
Along with showcasing Imperium Empires’ progress, the Alpha is also designed to stress test the multiplayer game server. This procedure ensures that the system can handle the massive influx of users in the future. With the Alpha phase, the team and the players can work together to expose and address the game’s flaws.
Launched on September 14, the first week was a closed Alpha test. The initial phase was exclusive to all Tripod-X and Pelicouter spacecraft Non-Fungible Token (NFT) minters and holders. The public Alpha opened in late September to accommodate all players.
The Alpha PvP is now available for Windows PC and Mac (the game does not support mobile yet).
Gameplay and Rewards
In PvP, players must survive and collect Loot Boxes over the course of 5 minutes. The more loot boxes accumulated, the higher the score.
In space battles, ships can fire shots automatically when opponents are within range (players can move their fleet to avoid attacks). Players must destroy an enemy’s “leader,” and collect the Loot Boxes left behind by the losing team.
The team is giving away 7,000,000 $IME in prizes for the Alpha PvP tournament. Let’s look at the breakdown:
- Top 1: 2,100,000 $IME
- Top 2: 1,400,000 $IME
- Top 3: 700,000 $IME
- Top 4-10: 200,000 $IME
- 10 Lucky Draw Winners: 140,000 $IME
The leaderboard rankings will determine who will receive rewards at the end of the season. A players’ highest total score in his/her best three recorded matches will show up on the weekly leaderboard. However, guest players are not eligible to earn prizes.
How to Join
To play Imperium Empires, players must obtain at least one Spaceship NFT from the marketplace. A metamask wallet is also a requirement (click here to learn how to set up one) before opening an account. Players can get the game through the download link provided by the team,
