Fitness Finance (FitFi) platform Step App announced on July 21, 2022, a partnership with eight-time Olympic gold medalist Usain Bolt. The Jamaican sprinter became the face of the app which made its official private beta launch, the company stated on Twitter.
With Move-to-Earn (M2E) games on blockchain, Step App is the latest titles utilizing the concept StepN pioneered in 2021. The goal of M2E platforms like Step App and StepN is to incentivize workouts by rewarding users with cryptocurrencies.
Other ways to earn in-game rewards include staking governance tokens, joining tournaments, registration, and token burning.
Step App Protocol SDK
Step App is built on its own Step Protocol SDK, an ecosystem on the Avalanche Network open for third parties. In addition, the protocol was created to address issues such as market bottlenecks and rising development costs, among others.
Dubbed by media as the “fastest man alive,” Usain St. Leo Bolt is universally-considered as one of the greatest sprinters of all time. Amassing a total of 23 gold medals won at the Olympic Games, World Championships, to name a few.
