Castle Crush, a mobile game that has over 75 million downloads, has been undergoing a transition from Web2 to Web3 by implementing Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) on the Avalanche blockchain. On August 17, they finally announced the in-game playability of their NFTs. Players can connect their accounts on the game’s official Marketplace and find their pieces in the collection.

This development means that card holders can now earn Ascension Points by sending their characters to battle. Ascencion Points can be converted to $ACS tokens based on a formula. The team also clarified that anyone could gain seasonal rewards without having to own Ascended Cards.

Castle Crush NFTs marketplace stats

According to cross-chain NFT platform NFTrade, Castle Crush’s NFT trading volume “increased around 30x” while registering a record sale of 63 $AVAX ($1,502.55). So far, more than 4,000 AVAX has traded on the platform ($109,000+ USD)

Long-time followers of the game were delighted with the game’s recent progress This is a big deal for the space, less than 5 million wallets actively engage in web3 gaming, so having 1.5 million additional players exposed to the market is meaningful.

“Once you play a game that you already loved, but now has NFTs and Play2Earn elements that feel natural, you understand why the most sophisticated mobile gaming studios are choosing #Avalanche #AVAX,” Ava Labs fan “Well” tweeted, adding “Kudos, @playcastlecrush on smoothly integrating Web3!”

About Castle Crush

Created by Wildlife Studios, Castle Crush is a popular Free-to-Play mobile game. Since its launch, it has over 75 million downloads and 1.5 million daily active users. Earlier this year, Castle Crush sold NFTs on the Avalanche blockchain. This was part of efforts to incorporate Web3 elements into its Web2 mobile game. Castle Crush is a real-time 1v1 Player versus Player (PVP) game where players can build 14-card decks and send them to battle.

As players defeat opponents and advance through the game, they will be able to unlock Trophies and Castles. They can even unlock the Black Citadel castle and gain access to the Forge. Once the players have reached this stage, they are qualified to join Leagues. This will allow players to climb the rankings for a chance to earn the much-coveted “Legend” title.

NFT Cards

Castle Crush NFT cards come in four tiers of rarity namely: Common, Rare, Epic, and Legendary. Players can purchase new cards individually or packed in a Chest at the in-game Store for Gold/Gems. They can also defeat other participants in battles to acquire new NFT cards.

Castle Crush cards are also listed on NFT platform NFTrade, which is one of the game’s partners. As of this writing, a character can be obtained for as low as 3.3 $AVAX ($78.70), and as high as 49 $AVAX ($1,168.65). A couple of chests are also listed from 0.08 $AVAX – 0.5 $AVAX ($1.908 – $11.925), per NFTrade.
