Following the well-received Avalanche House event in Berlin, Germany on May 13, 2022, Ava Labs continues its community initiatives – this time in Brooklyn, New York.

Ava Labs held the Avalanche House Brooklyn on July 15-16, 2022 at 161 Dikeman, Brooklyn with attending members of the community treated to food, music, art, Web3 talks, as well as a Formula E race.

“Thank you to everyone who came out and made #AvalancheHouse Brooklyn a huge success!” the company said on the Avalanche Twitter page.

Supported by Avalaunch, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Bye Bye Plastic Foundation, LunarCrush and Quick Node, the event provided attendees with local NYC food, live music, an NFT gallery, and an electric street race by the Avalanche Andretti Formula E team to kick off the second day.

“What a weekend at #AvalancheHouse Brooklyn. Had an amazing time speaking to the projects building the future of this space, and going behind the scenes of the race with @AVAXAndrettiFE and @michaelandretti! There’s nothing like the Avalanche community,” Ava Labs President John Wu posted on Twitter.

In a bid to spread Web3 knowledge and bolster community ties, the weekend affair also focused on discussion panels graced by the likes of CoinDesk Lead Anchor/Producer Christine Lee, Decrypt Editor-in-Chief Daniel Roberts, HerDAO Founder Tracy Bowen, Pocket Worlds CEO Anton Bernstein, and Quick Node Developer Advocate Anthony Campolo, to name a few.

The talks touched on a variety of topics including the onboarding of Web2 gamers to Web3, scaling with subnets, strategic fundraising for projects, pros and cons of staking, and the future of DeFi, among others.
