APEMove Introduces Updates to APEFarm Mode

Move-to-Earn (M2E) NFT game APEMove did a series of updates on its APEFarm gameplay mode in late August 2022. The team conducted an internal testing phase along with a maintenance round that reduced the Minting egg fee.

Here’s what we’ve learned about the recent updates:

In APEFarm mode, players can hold Pet NFTs in wallets, allowing them to earn the token $BAPE. Every Pet has its own Hash Power based on rarity.

The sum of all of the Pet’s HPs in a wallet is the total HP of an account, which means the higher the total Hash Power, the more $BAPE a player will be able to earn.

Additionally, players can earn an NFT Pet by collecting KEYS to Mint an Egg which reveals a Pet. The Pets come in the form of either a Hamster, Bunny, Bear, Dino, Unicorn, or a Dragon.

Aside from fixing the $BAPE-$APE ratio needed to open a Pet Egg, the APEMove team is also trying to balance things out by requiring sufficient Energy to earn a KEY, which can be achieved by consuming $APE and leveling up in the process.

Another initiative the team is working on is liquidity. The team will provide sufficient Pet liquidity at the beginning and motivate users to open their Eggs rather than hoarding them. Equally important, ApeMOVE’s $BAPE will become more stable and deflationary by burning a large portion of the token.

Minting Egg Fee

On August 26, APEMove conducted a 30-minute maintenance that focused on reducing the Minting Egg fee from $100 to $50, while changing the ratio to 10% APE + 90% BAPE.

Users who have already minted at the price of $100 will be compensated with a Bonus Egg via the in-app inventory.

KEY Dropping

APEMove will be dropping KEYS everyday, which will require a 3E Energy level to obtain one KEY with sneakers under level 30. On the other hand, a level 30 sneaker can acquire 3-5 KEYS at once by consuming the same 3E Energy requirement.

What is APEMove?

APEMove promotes physical fitness and social interactions. As a lifestyle app, it allows users to obtain sneaker NFTs and earn in-game rewards through walking, jogging, or running outdoors. Using APEMove’s GameFi model, players can choose to use the tokens in-game, or cash them out for added profit.

Following the introduction of pioneering M2E game StepN in 2021, APEMove joins a growing list of “FitFi” platforms. Another example is StepApp, an Avalanche-based fitness app that formed a partnership with Olympic gold medallist Usain Bolt.

Sneaker NFTs

Every Sneaker NFT has the following attributes: Power ($APE Earning), Luck (Chest), Agility ($BAPE Earning), and Armor (Durability/Repair). The four types of Sneakers designed for various workout intensity levels are Walker, Jogger, Runner, and Trainer.

There are five Sneaker rarities with their own color designations. The lowest is Common (white), followed by Rare (green), Unique (blue), Mythic (purple), and the highest is Legendary (orange).

APEMove Sneaker NFTs

APEMove utilizes two tokens: $APE and $BAPE.

APEMove ($APE)

APEMove’s game token has an unlimited supply, with 2,000,000 tokens minted for initial liquidity. The token can be earned by moving in Single Player mode. There are various burn mechanisms including shoe minting, leveling up, or repairing Sneakers, unlocking plug-ins, and upgrading gems.

As of this writing $APE is trading at $0.2845, with a $569,112 fully diluted market cap, and a 24-hour volume of $3,514 (per CoinMarketCap).
