Metaverse game developer AlterVerse announced on October 3, 2022, that it has received funding to launch its game Sky City. The fundraise is part of the company’s completion of the Binance Labs Incubation Program.
Along with Binance Labs, Polygon Ventures, Ankr, EnjinStarter, and Baselayer Capital, also bankrolled the project with an undisclosed amount of capital.
The team will utilize the funding from the ongoing private sale to accelerate the growth of its own AlterVerse ecosystem. According to the company, they have some “aggressive expansion plans” awaiting implementation. In addition to that, AlterVerse is also continuously courting other investors to add more funds to the Web3 gaming platform’s war chest.
“AlterVerse is a beautiful amalgamation of real-world experiences and high-end gaming in the metaverse. The vision and scale of the project is impressive, and what has already been developed is stunning. Baselayer Capital Co-Founder Shashwat Gupta stated. “I look forward to continuing to support the AlterVerse team on this journey.”
A pre-Alpha testing phase will soon accommodate the game’s earliest supporters. The team will send to the eligible community members, an email containing a private invite, a download link and exclusive access to Sky City.

About AlterVerse
The AlterVerse is an “interconnected metaverse gaming experience.” The immersive project is built with Epic Games’ graphics game engine Unreal Engine 5. Basically, the world of AlterVerse (according to the team) features “realistic graphics, incredible design elements, extensive 3D environments, and streamlined gameplay.” In addition to that, AlterVerse will also offer a multi-chain Non-Fungible Token (NFT) marketplace in the near future.
The project’s roadmap has four “core phases.” Let’s take a look at the titles that make up this ambitious undertaking:
- Sky City: Sky City is the central social hub of the AlterVerse. It is also a place in the metaverse where players can purchase land, gather resources, or build structures. Additionally, participants can craft NFTs, trade items, engage in Play-and-Earn games, and socialize with other users.
- Outpost: Outpost is a First-Person Shooter (FPS) action game.
- Rekt: Rekt is a hardcore survival game.
- City Servers: City Servers is a decentralized metaverse platform. This section of the project offers “Metaservers” that owners can operate and customize.
Tokenomics
AlterVerse uses the native token $ACE. The token is designed for in-game transactions, payments, and rewards. The team is preparing to launch $ACE on the BNB Chain, along with other in-game assets such as land and skins.

Binance Labs Incubation Program
In early May 2022, AlterVerse was selected to participate in Season 4 of the Binance Labs Incubation Program. The initiative had 500 applicants this year, with only 14 blockchain-focused projects in the list.
The eight-week mentorship provided builders with guidance from various experts. In addition to that, they were also introduced to a network of industry leaders. Furthermore, the participants obtained comprehensive support around regulatory and legal advice, as well as recruiting, marketing, and Public Relations (PR), among others.
